Bellami's tape products are better value than ours and just as transparent: four replacement tape SKUs from $10.00, and a $12.00 alcohol-based Release Spray with a full published ingredient list against our $25.00. The trade-off is that Bellami does not publish the bottle size, the double-sided tab count, or the professional discount.
Bellami's Hair Extension Release Spray and replacement tapes compete directly with both of our products, and beat us on price on every comparable line. We have no affiliate arrangement and earn nothing from anything on this page. We appear once, at the end, in a labelled section. Every price, ingredient and review figure below was read on 31 August 2026.
Bellami is the largest name most clients will have heard of before they sit down, which makes an honest review of its tape range harder to write and more worth writing.
It is a hair company. The tape products exist to install and reinstall its own extensions, and they are priced as accessories to a $280 to $605 pack of hair rather than as a business in themselves. That is a different commercial position from ours, and it produces a range that is cheap, competently specified in some places and silent in others.
It also produces the one page in this cluster where our own positioning gets properly tested. Bellami sells an alcohol-based, oil-free remover with a complete published ingredient list for $12.00. Ours is $25.00. We have said so in the table, in the review, in the section on what they do better and in our own entry, because writing around it would be the kind of thing a reader spots in one click.
What we judged, and what we could not
Bellami is a hair company with a tape range attached, so we reviewed the tape range rather than the hair. We looked at what the tape SKUs actually cover, what the Release Spray is made of and what it costs to use, what the wear claims say, what is published and what is not, and what the public review record does and does not support. We have not installed Bellami hair at volume and we have run no laboratory test on any product here.

1. Bellami Hair Extension Release Spray
$12.00 · alcohol-based · full published INCI · spray, wait 3-5 seconds, manipulate · works on Tape-In and K-Tip
This is the product that forced us to rewrite our own claims, so we will start there.
The Release Spray is alcohol-based, not oil-based, and Bellami publishes the complete ingredient list: Isopropyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Neopentyl, Glycol Diheptanoate, Isododecane. It costs $12.00. Ours costs $25.00 for four ounces and lists isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate and deionised water. Both are oil-free, both publish their formulation, and theirs is less than half the price. Anyone telling you that there is only one oil-free remover in this category, or only one brand that prints its formula, is wrong, and until recently that included some of our own pages.
The one real gap is the bottle. Bellami does not publish a volume anywhere we could find, which means $12.00 cannot be converted into a price per ounce or a price per removal. That is the number a stylist actually budgets against, and it is the only place in this comparison where we can say we do something they do not: we publish 4.0 fl oz, about thirty removals, $0.83 a removal, and show the division.
What it does well
- $12.00 against our $25.00, for the same oil-free removal job
- Complete published ingredient list on the product page
- A stated 3-5 second dwell, the fastest published in this cluster
- Public retail price with no professional account required
Where it loses
The bottle size is not published anywhere we could find, so there is no way to work out a price per ounce or a cost per removal, and no yield figure is stated. Like every alcohol remover, including ours, it is a solvent that must work against every adhesive in circulation rather than one it was designed against.
Verdict. The best-value formulated remover with a published formula that we are aware of. If you are not running our tape, this is a better buy than ours and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
2. Bellami the four replacement tape SKUs
Single Sided $12.00 / 48 tabs · Double Sided $15.00 · Weft Strips $11.00 · Weft Roll $10.00 / 3 yards
Four SKUs is more tape formats than we sell, and they map onto the three hair lines rather than onto a general theory of adhesive.
The Single Sided Replacement Tape is the only one where the arithmetic can be done: $12.00 for 48 tabs is $0.25 a tab, published at 1-9/16 by 5/16 of an inch, which is 4cm by 0.8cm — the same footprint Big Kizzy and Walker use. Ours are $45.00 for 60, which is $0.75 a tab. Theirs are a third of the price for the same published dimensions.
What it does well
- $0.25 a tab on the single-sided pack, against our $0.75
- Four formats — single-sided tabs, double-sided tabs, weft strips and a 3 yard roll
- Published dimensions of 4cm x 0.8cm on both tab SKUs, matching the category standard
- A stated hold time of 4-10 weeks, where several rivals publish nothing
Where it loses
Counts are published on only one of the four SKUs, so three of them cannot be converted into a cost per tab or per head. The weft strips and roll are described specifically for the Express Weft line rather than as universal consumables, and the reusability claim of a full six to twelve months is the brand's own with no method stated behind it.
Verdict. Cheap, sensibly formatted and only half-specified. Buy the single-sided pack if you want a figure you can check; treat the others as accessories to the hair.
3. Bellami the three tape-in lines
Classic 2.5g x 20 tapes, 4-8 weeks · Deluxe 5g x 10 tapes, 4-6 weeks · Express Weft 15-35g x 2 wefts, 4 weeks
The three lines are properly separated. Classic is 2.5g a piece, twenty tapes to a pack, with a stated wear of four to eight weeks. Deluxe doubles the weight to 5g a piece with ten tapes and a shorter stated wear of four to six. Express Weft is the heavy option at fifteen to thirty-five grams a piece, two wefts to a pack, with a stated wear of four weeks. Deluxe and Express Weft carry what Bellami calls RootReplica technology, described as mimicking root growth for near-invisible wear.
What it does well
- Three lines separated by gram weight, with wear claims that descend as weight rises
- Published grams per piece and pieces per pack on all three
- RootReplica construction on Deluxe and Express Weft for root blending
Where it loses
Pack pricing for the hair is gated behind a professional login on the collection pages, so a stylist cannot compare cost per gram against a rival without an account. The four-week claim on Express Weft is short enough that a client on a six-week move-up cycle needs to be told before, not after.
Verdict. The clearest published tape-in specification in this cluster. Choose by gram weight and book the move-up against the line, not against a general rule.
4. Bellami BELLAMI Academy Master Class
$1,199.00 · two days, 9am to 5pm · all four methods · full Education Master Kit included · certification on completion
This is the part of Bellami a four-SKU company cannot answer, and it would be dishonest to review the brand without saying so.
The Master Class is $1,199.00 for two days, running nine to five on both, covering all four professional methods — tape-ins, K-tips, I-tips and wefts. The price includes an Education Master Kit that the page itemises down to the tester hair, the fusion tool, the heat shields, the loop bead tool, the beads, the mannequin head, the tripod and the trolley bag it all arrives in, plus a certification manual and consultation cards.
What it does well
- Two full days of hands-on instruction across four methods for $1,199.00
- A tool kit itemised on the page and included in the price
- Licence-gated with proof required at purchase and a refund if it is not provided
- Certification issued on completion
Where it loses
The digital version is listed at the same $1,199.00 as the two-day in-person class, which is a difficult price to justify for a different product. The Academy also teaches the brand's own methods and kit, so it is training and marketing in the same purchase.
Verdict. Genuine education infrastructure and the single strongest thing Bellami offers a stylist. Buy the in-person class rather than the digital one at the same price.
5. What Bellami does not publish
The gaps we hit reading every relevant page
What it does well
- Individual product pages do show public retail prices, which many trade suppliers do not
- Ingredients, dimensions, gram weights and wear claims are published where counts are not
Where it loses
No bottle size on the remover, no count on three of four tape SKUs, gated collection pages, and a professional discount that is never quantified before you apply. A buyer can see prices and still cannot calculate cost per head.
Verdict. Transparent about formulation and vague about quantity. Ask for the bottle size and the tab counts before you build a service price on either.
6. Vanity The Clean Remover and Replacement Tape Tabs
Remover $25.00 / 4.0 fl oz / about 30 removals / $0.83 a removal · Tabs $45.00 / 60 tabs / $0.75 a tab
We are including ourselves here rather than only in a closing note, because on this particular page leaving our own numbers out of the ranking would look like avoidance.
Our remover is isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate and deionised water, published in full. It is oil-free, so nothing is deposited on the hair and you re-tab in the same appointment with no shampoo. Four fluid ounces gives about thirty removals at $25.00, which is $6.25 an ounce and $0.83 a removal, and we show that division because most of this category does not publish a yield at all. Our tabs are $45.00 for 60, which is 30 sandwiches, one full head, at $0.75 a tab.
Set against Bellami: their spray is $12.00 with a full published INCI and is also oil-free; their single-sided tabs are $0.25 each at the same 4cm by 0.8cm footprint. We are the more expensive product on both counts by a wide margin, and we publish no third-party certification and no verified review corpus. The one thing that is ours is that the tab and the solvent were developed against each other by two licensed cosmetologists over about ten years of daily salon use, and that the whole system — remover, tabs, application tool and written method — comes in one box at $85 or $95. That is what the premium buys, and it only buys anything if our tape is on the head.
What it does well
- Tape and remover engineered as a matched pair, tested against each other
- Full formulation published: four ingredients, no proprietary blend
- The arithmetic published: 4.0 fl oz, about 30 removals, $0.83 each
- A complete system in one box at $85 or $95, tool and method included
Where it loses
We are the most expensive tab and the most expensive remover in this category. $0.75 a tab against Bellami's $0.25, and $25.00 for four ounces against their $12.00 for a spray that is equally oil-free and equally transparent about its ingredients. Our remover underperforms on other brands' tape, including Bellami's, because it was formulated against ours. We hold no third-party vegan or cruelty-free certification, we have no verified review corpus, and we sell no hair, no single-sided tab, no roll and no certification course.
Verdict. Worth the premium only if you are running our tape. If you are installing Bellami hair, their spray and their tabs are the better buy and we would rather say so than have you find out.
Who Bellami tape is actually for
Bellami tape suits anyone already installing Bellami hair, where the tabs, strips and roll are cut for the lines and the remover is written for the adhesive. It also suits any stylist who wants oil-free removal with a published formula at the lowest price we are aware of.
- Stylists installing Bellami hair. The four tape formats map onto the three lines and nothing else in this cluster does that.
- Anyone who wants an oil-free remover cheaply. $12.00 with a full ingredient list is the best combination of price and disclosure we have found.
- Less suited to: anyone who needs to calculate a cost per removal or a cost per head, because the bottle size and three of four tab counts are not published.
What the Trustpilot record actually says
Bellami has the largest public review corpus of any brand in this cluster, and it is frequently quoted carelessly. We read it so we could report it precisely, including the part that runs against a competitor's interest.
| Measure | As published on Trustpilot |
|---|---|
| Score | 3.7 out of 5 |
| Total reviews | 13,553 |
| Five star | 64 percent |
| Two star | 6 percent |
| One star | 18 percent |
| Category rank | 13th of 14 in Hair Extensions Supplier |
Read on trustpilot.com/review/bellamihair.com, 31 August 2026, and reported as a cited fact. We publish no rating markup of our own on this or any page, and we have no verified review corpus of our own to compare it against.
An 18 percent one-star share and a rank of thirteenth of fourteen are poor numbers and it would be silly to soften them. But the honest and more useful point is what the complaints are about. Reading the negative reviews, the recurring themes are tangling, shedding, matting, premature wear of the hair itself, colour that did not match what was recommended, authenticity disputes over whether the hair is Remy, order problems and slow service.
They are not about tape slippage. They are not about adhesive residue. We looked specifically, because a tape company writing about a hair company has an obvious incentive to find that, and we could not find a credible first-party complaint corpus about Bellami tape failing. Any page that implies the Trustpilot score is evidence against the tape is misreading its own citation. The score is evidence about hair quality, colour matching and customer service, and if you are buying the tabs and the Release Spray it tells you very little.
Buying notes
- Ask for the bottle size before you build a price around the Release Spray. At $12.00 it may well be the best value remover in the category; without a volume nobody can prove it either way.
- Buy the single-sided pack if you want checkable arithmetic. 48 tabs at $12.00 is $0.25 a tab and the dimensions are published at 4cm by 0.8cm.
- The Release Spray is alcohol-based and therefore flammable, exactly as ours is. Ventilate and keep it away from a hot iron.
How it compares with what we make
This section is short and at the end on purpose, and it is the least comfortable one on this site.
Bellami beats us on price on every comparable line and matches us on ingredient transparency. Their Release Spray is $12.00 with a full published INCI against our $25.00 with a full published formula. Their single-sided tabs are $0.25 each against our $0.75. They sell four tape formats to our one, they sell the hair, and they run a licence-gated two-day certification course that we have no equivalent of. We are the most expensive tab and the most expensive remover in this category and there is no framing that changes that.
What survives is narrow and we will state it precisely rather than inflating it. First, the matched pair: our tab and our solvent were developed against each other by the same two cosmetologists over about ten years of daily salon use, where Bellami's spray has to work against every adhesive in circulation — Walker's, Big Kizzy's, ours and their own. That produces a higher first-pass release rate on our own tape and no advantage at all on anyone else's, which is why our own doctrine is that our remover underperforms on other brands' tape. Second, the complete system in one box at $85 or $95: remover, sixty tabs, an application tool and a written method, where the alternative is four separate line items from a company whose main business is selling you hair. Whether that is worth the premium depends entirely on whose tape is on the head, and if it is Bellami's, the answer is no.
If you are running Bellami hair
Buy the Bellami Release Spray. It is oil-free, it publishes its ingredients, it was written for the adhesive on the wefts you are removing, and it costs less than half what ours does. We would rather you got a clean release than an order from us. What our remover does on other brands
What Bellami does better than us
Price on the remover, at equal transparency. $12.00 against our $25.00, both alcohol-based, both oil-free, both with the formulation published. This is the single clearest place where a competitor beats us on our own strongest ground, and it is why we no longer write that we are the only oil-free remover or the only brand publishing its formula. Neither was ever true.
Price per tab. $12.00 for 48 single-sided tabs is $0.25 each against our $45.00 for 60, which is $0.75. Three times the cost for the same published 4cm by 0.8cm footprint is not a rounding difference.
Format range. Single-sided tabs, double-sided tabs, pre-cut weft strips and a three yard roll, against our one double-sided tab. A stylist inside their range can pick a format for the placement; inside ours they cannot.
Published hold and wear claims across the range. Four to ten weeks on both tab SKUs, and three separate wear figures on the hair lines that descend sensibly with gram weight. Publishing a shorter number on the heavier product is the honest way round.
Education. A $1,199.00 two-day Master Class covering four methods with an itemised kit, licence-gated with proof required, issuing certification, claiming over thirty thousand stylists trained. We sell a written guide in a box. That is not education infrastructure and calling it that would be a stretch.
What this comparison is based on, and what it is not
This review is based on every relevant Bellami page we could open on 31 August 2026: the replacement tape pages, the Release Spray page with its published ingredient list and directions, the tape-in lines page, the gated collection, the professional account page and the Academy listings. Prices, counts, dimensions and ingredients are as published; per-unit figures are our arithmetic, shown so they can be checked.
We have run no laboratory test of adhesion, wear duration, residue or skin response on any product here, and nothing on this page should be read as one. Every wear, hold and reusability figure is Bellami's own claim, reproduced as a claim. Where a bottle size, a count or a discount percentage is not published we have written that rather than estimating it, which is why several cells above are blank.
The Trustpilot figures are reported as a published third-party fact with the date read. We emit no rating markup on this or any page and have no verified review corpus of our own to compare against. Bellami beats us on price on every comparable line while matching us on ingredient disclosure; that conclusion is stated in its own section. We have no affiliate arrangement with Bellami.
