We sell a replacement tape tab and a remover. Glam Seamless sold hair, so it was never a direct competitor of ours and is not a competitor of anybody's now. This page exists because people are still wearing the hair and searching for the brand, and the pages currently answering them work from a catalogue that no longer resolves. We earn nothing from anything named here, and a company closing is not evidence that its product was bad.

When we opened glamseamless.com on 31 August 2026 it returned a Shopify holding page reading "Glam Seamless Hair Extensions - Opening soon", with a single outbound link. The product feed at /products.json returned HTTP 401 Unauthorized, which is what a Shopify store does when the storefront has been taken private. No price, no pack count, no dimension, no adhesive description and no reuse claim can be retrieved from any Glam Seamless page, and we are not going to reconstruct them from memory or from search snippets.
The single link points at Donna Bella, where a page headed welcometodb states, verbatim: "Glam Seamless has been proud to serve the hair extension community, but the brand is closing as part of a broader business transition." So the page you were probably looking for — a specification comparison against a live catalogue — cannot honestly be written. This is the one that can: what the brand was, what its review record actually shows including the uncomfortable part, and the question nobody else is answering. Your extensions are still in, you need tabs and solvent in three weeks, and the company that sold them to you no longer exists.
What we judged, and what we could not
You cannot review a catalogue that returns a 401. The closure is unusually well documented, which is worth saying because the hairtalk US exit on our other review page is not documented at all. Somebody at Donna Bella wrote a plain-English notice and published it, and that is better behaviour than a silent shutdown.
Three lines carry the substance. On why: "Glam Seamless has been proud to serve the hair extension community, but the brand is closing as part of a broader business transition." On the site: "The Glam Seamless website will remain active through the end of 2025 (or until inventory sells out)." On accounts: "Your Glam Seamless account will no longer be active after the closure. We invite you to create a new account with Donna Bella to continue your extension journey."
That account line is the practical consequence most likely to affect you. If your order history, colour formulas or warranty record lived in a Glam Seamless account, that record is no longer somewhere you can log in and read. A stylist who kept client colour matches in order notes has lost them with the login. The notice also carries live contact routes, 888-424-7548 by phone and 866-631-1522 by text, which is the only channel we could find still staffed.

A 4.2 is a good score and we should say that first. Two thousand reviews is a substantial corpus, and 78 percent five-star means most people who wrote about this brand were pleased with it. Whatever ended Glam Seamless, a wall of unhappy customers is not the obvious story.
The shape underneath the average is the interesting part. It is barbell-shaped: 78 percent at the top, 14 percent at the bottom, only 8 percent across the three middle grades combined. A product with merely variable quality produces a fat middle, because people who got a middling result write a middling review. The New York profile shows the business as not BBB accredited, carrying a D+ rating, with five complaints filed and a noted failure to respond to one. The listed address is 57 W 57th St, New York, with a second location in Valley Cottage.
Care is needed reading this. Not being accredited means nothing on its own: accreditation is a paid membership and plenty of good companies never buy it. Five complaints is very small in absolute terms next to two thousand Trustpilot reviews, and BBB volumes are driven as much by who knows the BBB exists as by how many people had a problem.
The item that does carry weight is the failure to respond. A BBB complaint is low-effort for a company to answer, and letting one go unanswered is a choice rather than an oversight. Set against Donna Bella's clear closure notice, it suggests customer communication that was uneven rather than uniformly bad. Donna Bella is the named destination, and the useful thing about it for continuity is that it publishes prices to logged-out visitors. That is not universal here: Babe gates everything behind a licence-verified login and Hotheads sells only through distributors.
Its Tape-In Replacement Tape was listed at $14.00 when we read it, described as using a medical-grade adhesive that "helps prevent allergic reactions and protects hair from harsh chemicals". The pack count is not published, so no cost per tab can be worked out and we will not guess one. Their Residue Remover is "a gentle, oil-based remover designed for quick and safe removal of Tape-In extensions without leaving any sticky residue", in 4 oz and 32 oz; when we read it the 4 oz showed at $6.00 against a $16.00 reference and the 32 oz at $35.40 against $59.00. Those look promotional and may not hold.
The workflow consequence of oil-based matters more than the price. An oil remover leaves a film, and adhesive will not bond through a film, so a clarifying wash and a full dry sit between removal and re-tabbing. That is real chair time. It is not a fault — oil is gentler and is the better tool for adhesive stranded into the hair — it is a different appointment. Donna Bella's own Trustpilot profile showed 4.4 out of 5 from 70 reviews, with 86 percent five-star and 12 percent one-star; seventy is a thin sample and we would not lean on it hard.
What it does well

- Replacement tape and a residue remover both stocked, so continuity parts exist

Where it loses
The replacement tape pack count is not published, so no cost per tab can be calculated and the $14.00 cannot be compared with anything. The Residue Remover is oil-based, forcing a clarifying wash and a full dry before re-tabbing. The prices we saw appeared promotional, and seventy Trustpilot reviews is a thin evidence base.
Verdict. A reasonable landing place with published prices and the right parts in stock. Budget for the wash step, and ask them for the tab count before you order.
5. What we will not publish about this brand

Search for Glam Seamless tape specifications today and you will find numbers. A 70-count tab pack. An 8 to 12 week wear window. A claim that the tabs are reusable up to three times. These appear in listicles, aggregators and AI-generated summaries, stated with complete confidence.
We could not confirm one of them against a primary source, because the primary sources no longer resolve. The product pages are gone, the collection pages are gone, the blog is gone, and the product feed returns a 401. Every page repeating those figures is copying another page that copied them, or recalling them from a model's memory. That is why they are absent here rather than reproduced with a hedge: a specification with no retrievable source is not a weak fact, it is not a fact. If we printed "70 tabs", some downstream page would cite us and we would have laundered an unsourced number into a citable one.
This is not a claim that those numbers are wrong — they may well be accurate recollections of pages that genuinely existed. We are last, and on price we are the worst option on this page. Donna Bella's Residue Remover was showing at $6.00 for 4 oz when we read it. Ours is $25 for 4.0 fl oz. That is a four-fold difference on the same volume and we are not going to argue it away.
We sell four things: 60 tabs at $45, which is $0.75 a tab and 30 sandwiches, one full head; The Clean Remover at $25 for 4.0 fl oz, about 30 removals at $0.83 each and $6.25 an ounce; a Removal Kit at $85; and the Complete System at $95, which adds a written method.
The one thing we offer a stranded wearer that the cheaper options do not is that our remover is oil-free, so no clarifying wash sits between removal and re-tabbing. Big Kizzy's Remover 1 and Bellami's Release Spray are also oil-free and both cost less than ours, so this is a property we share rather than one we own. And if what you need is replacement wefts in a matching shade, we sell no hair and Donna Bella is the sensible first call.

Where it loses
The most expensive tab and remover named on this page: $0.75 a tab against Big Kizzy's roughly $0.13 at their 120-count, and $6.25 an ounce against roughly $2.12 for theirs. One tab size, four SKUs, no hair at all. Our remover is alcohol-based and therefore flammable, it underperforms on other brands' hard-cured adhesive, and we have no verified customer reviews to show you.
Verdict. Relevant only for the tabs and the solvent, and dearer than every alternative here. If cost is your constraint, buy Big Kizzy or Donna Bella.
What Glam Seamless was
Glam Seamless was a New York-based hair extension brand selling direct to consumers as well as to stylists, best known for tape-in extensions. It accumulated 2,076 Trustpilot reviews at an average of 4.2 out of 5. It has closed as part of what its successor describes as a broader business transition, and its customers have been routed to Donna Bella.
Two things distinguished it in a category that is mostly professional-only. It sold to consumers directly, which is why its review volume ran into four figures where trade-only brands accumulate almost none — Babe has no Trustpilot profile we could find, and Hotheads sells through distributors. And it built a consumer-facing brand rather than a stylist-facing supply house, which is a genuinely different business and one we have never attempted. What we cannot tell you is anything about the product specifications, because none of those pages resolve any more. That is a real limitation of this review and it is stated rather than papered over.

- Strip every trace of old adhesive from the weftA new tab pressed onto residual adhesive bonds to an uneven surface and starts lifting from a corner. This is the step that decides whether your re-tab lasts six weeks or two. If adhesive has stranded into the hair itself, that needs a residue product with sustained contact time rather than a fast solvent.
- Sandwich, press with a tool, and count your tabsTwo wefts to one tab. Press with an application tool, not fingertips: pressure-sensitive adhesive builds its bond from the press. A full head is normally about 30 sandwiches, which is 60 tabs, so check pack counts before you order rather than after.

Closing is not evidence of a bad product
A brand shutting down is a commercial event, not a product verdict. Businesses close over financing, over a parent company reorganising its portfolio, over margins, over freight and inventory costs, over a founder exit — none of which has anything to do with whether the tape held. The published reason here is a broader business transition, which is a corporate sentence rather than a product one.
It would be easy for us to write this page as though a competitor's closure vindicated something about us. It does not, and a page that gloated would be exactly what it looked like. Those are the highest figures in this category. Big Kizzy is cheaper on both, and Donna Bella's remover was cheaper still when we read it. The only structural point in our favour is the one this page has already made: we sell tape and solvent and nothing else, so no hair brand's exit takes our supply with it. That is a genuine argument and a modest one.

It built a consumer brand at a scale we have not come close to. 2,076 Trustpilot reviews at 4.2 out of 5, with 78 percent five-star. We have no verified review corpus at all and publish no rating anywhere on this site, because we have nothing to base one on. Whatever ended the business, it was not a failure to earn customer goodwill.
It sold hair. We sell four SKUs and none of them is hair, so for anyone needing replacement wefts in a matching shade we are not a substitute in any sense.
Its successor is cheaper than us on the products we do sell. Donna Bella's Residue Remover was showing at $6.00 for 4 oz against our $25 for 4.0 fl oz, and their replacement tape at $14.00 against our $45. Their pack count is not published so the per-tab comparison cannot be completed, but on the published numbers we lose.
The closure was communicated in plain English with a named successor and live contact routes. Compare that with hairtalk's US exit, where no dated notice exists anywhere we could find. If a business has to end, ending it with a readable statement and a phone number is the better version, and we would want to be held to that standard ourselves.
It reached customers directly, so it has a public review record — exactly the accountability we currently lack. Two thousand strangers could say in public whether Glam Seamless was any good. Nobody can do that about us yet.
